The Campaign

Read on (read everything!) and discover how you can help us convince Namco to bring Tales of Vesperia to PlayStation 3s in North America and Europe.

Welcome everyone! If you're visiting this site, it's probably due to one reason: you want to see Tales of Vesperia for PlayStation 3 release on western shores. For those who don't know, the PlayStation 3 version of Vesperia includes tons of extra content not included in the Xbox 360 version. Tons. Here is the rundown:
The PlayStation 3 version of the game features full voice acting which is almost double the size of the script in the original 360 version. The game also features various new characters such as Flynn as a fully customizable, permanent playable character as well as Patty Fleur, a young girl with blond hair, who is an entirely new playable character. The game also features several unplayable characters from Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike which the game ties-in with.
In addition, Repede, Flynn and Patty are selectable as on-screen avatars with new mini-games such as a racing mini-game for Repede, new subplots, skits and main game quests as well as side quests. The game also has new songs added to the game's soundtrack together with remodeled towns and new towns and dungeons. The game also includes new bosses such as the Sword Dancer from previous Tales games, Don Whitehorse and Clint/Tison/Nan, players are also able to replay boss fights at Nam Cobanda Isle which is a play on words with the companies name (NAMCOBANDAI.)
In addition there are also new gameplay elements such as higher Overlimit Levels up to 8, more Mystic Artes including a dual Mystic Arte with Yuri and Flynn, new Artes, skills and equipments for characters. A new key item has also been added called the "Artes Ball" which allows an additional 8 Artes Shorcuts to be assigned to the previous 8 slots combined with the L1 button, which allows for a maximum of 16 Artes. The game also features a wide variety of new character costumes which include cameo costumes based on characters from previous Tales games, as well as costumes based on characters from other series, such as Xenosaga and Sgt. Frog. Also included is a scene-skip feature, a Team Arena in the Coliseum which also has new battles and modes together with Pre-Order Bonuses which are Tales of the Abyss character costumes. The game also features connectivity with the Tales spin-off, Tales of VS. for the PlayStation Portable.
That's a lot! You can see why we're fighting so hard to bring it stateside. Those who have played the game on Xbox 360 want to experience the full game, and PlayStation 3 owners want a chance to experience the game, as well.

So we have begun a campaign centered around three major areas:
  1. Twitter
  2. Letters
  3. Amazon

Both Namco Games and their community manager, Rich Bantegui, can be found on Twitter. We have created a special Twitter account, @VesperiaPS3, where we will retweet any tweet sent to us that speaks positively about a Tales of Vesperia PS3 localization. Our aim on Twitter is to build up a large number of followers and share the good things they have to say about Vesperia PS3 in order to show Namco that their fans want this game!

Letters - Email and Snail Mail

Here's step two - and we urge you to do it even if you're only on this roller coaster for the Twitter thing. We are going to write e-mails and letters and send them into to Namco Bandai HQ. Try and write both if you have the time. In your letters be kind and gently explain why you want to see Tales of Vesperia PS3 in North America and Europe and why you believe it will help restore fan faith in Namco Bandai and its Tales series.

Here is their address:

Our goal is to break into the top 100 list of Most Wished For games for PlayStation 3.

To show your support for the Tales series and to ensure that future titles like Tales of Xillia and whatever else Namco Tales Studio is cooking come here, be sure to pre-order Tales of Graces F (PS3) and Tales of the Abyss (3DS) at Amazon. Maybe a spike in sales will lighten them up to the idea of bringing over Vesperia!
